Co-founders

The formation of Fera Pharmaceuticals is the realization of a lifelong dream of co-founders Frank and Janet DellaFera. It’s the culmination of their life’s work. They are proud to establish this one-of-a-kind specialty pharmaceutical company to meet many of the needs left unaddressed by today’s larger companies and global conglomerates.

Frank J. DellaFera

Prior to building Fera Pharmaceuticals, Frank held the esteemed position of CEO and President of Sandoz US, one of the world’s largest and most successful generic pharmaceutical companies. Before his appointment to CEO at Sandoz US, he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the organization. From 1996 to 2005, Frank was Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Eon Labs, which was acquired by Sandoz. Earlier in his career, Frank held several sales and marketing positions, including Senior Regional Sales Director for Dura Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Frank served in management and business development capacities for Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc. and American Regent Laboratories Inc. He began his career at Eli Lilly and Company as a field sales representative, where he was promoted to Hospital Sales Specialist. Frank received a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy, St. John’s University.


Marketing

Susan McDougal Susan McDougal
Susan has over 20 years of healthcare marketing experience, both in branded and generic pharmaceuticals. She was a Senior Marketing Manager for Sandoz, one of the largest generic pharmaceutical companies in the US where she was responsible for the management and promotional support of a diverse portfolio of products. She began her career in generic marketing as a Marketing Manager at Eon Labs, one of the fastest growing generic pharmaceutical companies in the industry prior to the Sandoz acquisition. Before joining Eon, Susan was a Group Account Supervisor at Sudler & Hennessey, where she employed her skills in both media planning and account management to support various pharma clients’ communication needs. She received a B.S. degree in Business Management and Economics from St. John’s University.

Regulatory Affairs


John G. D’Angelo
John is a Registered Pharmacist and has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, OTC, dietary supplement and nutritional product industries. Most recently he was Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at Nycomed US. John also served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Leiner Health Products, Medtronic MiniMed, B. Braun Medical as well as Sterling Drug Inc . His experience and responsibilities include oversight of the Regulatory, Quality, Compliance, Clinical Research and New Product Development functions at the corporate level. John has been responsible for submissions to the U.S. FDA, Health Canada and European Union for approval. He has had product experience in aseptically filled drug delivery systems, terminally sterilized parenteral products solid oral dosage forms and software controlled medical devices. His areas of expertise include Prescription Drugs (INDs, NDAs, ANDAs), OTC Drugs (Monograph and ANDAs), Medical Devices (IDEs, / PMAs, 510(k)s), Dietary and Nutritional Supplements, Combination Drug and Device Products and Medical Foods.


Business Development

Scott Florentino
Scott has over 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His pharmaceutical career started in sales promoting a broad range of Pfizer products in the office and institutional settings. Before joining Fera he worked at Pedinol Pharmacal, Inc. a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on podiatry. Scott started at Pedinol as a Product Manager for various pharmaceutical, OTC and in-office procedure products. With a promotion to Manager of Commercial Development, Scott drove Pedinol’s business, product and corporate development initiatives. Scott has an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Hofstra University.
